If you had your own action figure, what two accessories would it come with?
My earliest memory of sneakers is probably picking out a pair for school PE class. They always had to be all white, as per school policy.

What’s your favourite recollection or memory of the Nike Blazer?
To me, the Nike Blazer Mid ‘77 represents so much of the history of Nike as a brand. For the Studio ALCH AW20 collection at London Fashion Week Mens, we were lucky enough to debut the return of the Nike Blazer on models in our catwalk show. It was hosted at a Jordan basketball court in South London.

What’s your favourite thing about the Nike Blazer Mid ‘77?
I love that it still looks so similar to the original version. It has that vintage vibe and truly represents the beginning of Nike’s foray into basketball shoes.

Do you have a favourite sneaker story?
When I was studying, I became really interested in sportswear and highly technical, performance-based apparel design. My love of trainers really developed from that and, of course, my retail experience at the time.

Fittingly, Alexandra seemed the perfect person to wear?
I think when you work around sneakers for so long, they become so ingrained in your mind when you’re styling yourself and your spaces. I guess as my collection grew, so did my focus on dressing around my sneakers.

What was your first experience with Stationgallery?
Stationgallery was my first retail job and my first job in the sneaker industry. I worked at a small store in Richmond in Melbourne.

Do you have a favourite sneaker story?
Working retail in the sneaker industry, you have hundreds of stories! One of the first shifts I had when I was working at this trainer store in London was a big release day. This was before raffles, when you had to queue overnight. There were hundreds of people all over the street and I had to force my way to the front just to get in the door to start my shift. People had dogs, everything!

If you had your own action figure, what two accessories would it come with?
Definitely a pair of Nike sneakers (+ shoebox) and maybe my Nike sock armchair.
