Josh is a model, digital creator, actor, and avid sneaker collector from Sydney – and one of this season’s Stationgallery Sneakertellers. We sat down with Josh post-campaign shoot to chat about his fondest sneaker memories and how footwear has shaped his personal style evolution.

Hey Josh, can you tell us about your favourite sneaker memory?
I remember scrubbing my first pair of sneakers on the bathroom floor with a toothbrush after the first day of wearing them!

You’re wearing Slides & Sandals in the Sneakertellers campaign. What’s your first memory of the brand?
I saw this kid in my PE class wearing a pair of New Balance so I went out and bought my very first pair the following day.

What’s your favourite thing about the New Balance 327?
The thick soles are definitely one of my favourite parts of the shoes.

When did you realise you had a love for sneakers?
The first time I watched 50 Cent's music video ‘Window Shopper’ in 2010.

How have sneakers shaped your personal style over the years?
so I went out and bought my very first pair the following day.

What was your first experience with Stationgallery?
I was 14 years old, at the Westfield Parramatta Store when I decided to upgrade my old sneakers held together with duct tape to all-white trainers.

Do you have a favourite sneaker story?
I wore the same pair of sneakers every day until my toes started to protrude out the top. I loved them so much that I resorted to taping the holes with duct tape rather than buying new ones!
