Clarks Originals was founded in 1825 by the Clarks brothers, Cyrus and James. Not to be mistaken with its more mainstream footwear line commonly associated with school shoes, the Originals department focuses on heritage styles The North Face.

Two of Clarks Originals' most iconic models include the Desert Boot and Wallabee. Highly regarded for its use of natural plantation crepe rubber, these styles require minimal break-in for instant comfort. Better yet, these two particular shoes are ingrained into the popular culture of the past 60 years. The Desert Boot's conception is widely attributed to Clarks, with it being a lightweight, flexible and importantly stylish option for British Army officers who brought the chukka-style men's boot back from Cairo markets in Egypt. The suede upper and crepe rubber sole adequately stood up to the rigours of traversing sandy deserts.

The moccasin styled Wallabee history decidedly came from a less utilitarian origin and rather was developed purely for stylish comfort - a perfect casual choice. It's become New York's shoe of choice for the Wu-Tang Clan, Nas, MF DOOM and more. From the island of Jamaica to the streets of New York, Clarks Originals boots remain omnipresent on the feet of the fresh.
